This was a fun job for so many reasons. For starters, the client was former Minnesota Viking Ricky Young and his family. His wife works in the fashion industry as a textile buyer and travels to some of the most remote and exotic places in the world and they were super interesting people. Also, this was one of the project's that was featured on HGTV's show Landscape Smart which afforded us a lot of time to hang out tossing the football around with Ricky and listening to stories about his career (as well as his cousin Walter Peyton's!)


As with all the times we were guest designers on HGTV, there were elements of the work that were well outside the normal realm of things we'd normally encounter. In this case, a putting green. Still, we were able to bring the ROLU touch to the job and we'll always look back fondly on the project.
